Cheers Borussia! Will give it a look!
Lois: Peter, what did you promise me?
Peter: That I wouldn't drink at the stag party.
Lois: And what did you do?
Peter: Drank at the stag pa-- ... Whoa. I almost walked into that one.

Seems there’s a fair bit of rain today, which will suit Native River perfectly. He’s my big hope for the day, have a few quid each way on Anibale Fly too hoping for place money. Going for Commander of Fleet in the Albert Bartlett too, will probably only back in the later races if either of those 2 come in.

I wonder will there be a 2 day wankfest across all media outlets after a woman won a race at the Cheltenham Festival, like there has been since Bryony Frost yesterday

Irish horse, jockeys and trainers have an illustrious history of success at the Cheltenham Gold Cup. It’s no overstatement to say that some of the world’s most famous horses have hailed from the Emerald Isle.

Nine-year-old Bellshill trained by WP Mullins will be taking part in this year’s encounter, looking to recreate the success of Arkle, Synchronised and Dawn Run. At the time of writing, Bellshill is considered to be among the best tips for the Gold Cup, there’s plenty of interest in the outsider priced at 16/1, with many believing he has what it takes to take the 2019 Gold Cup.

With pace, stamina and experience Bellshill is one of the best outside bets to win the Gold Cup and keep Irish eyes smiling.

Funny enough was told at the weekend that JP would be pulling a stroke with Annible fly in Gold Cup, only thing I don’t trust about this is the coont of a trainer in charge Tony Martin and hopefully Barry Geraghty does not have the ride, if M P Walsh rides it it will be my e.w bet of the week, also heard JP could be in for his best festival in many a year just saying what I’m hearing
That's one to stroke off the list then
How did I know that my secret lover would be first up LOL you can thank me for ruling one out for you, that is of course you are old enough to gamble
Hmm think I’ll leave this here, decent enough Cheltenham thank you JP Clap

Had a good week apart from Friday. Up money every day bar the last so a profitable Cheltenham which doesn't happen too often. Some great racing, just a pity about Sir Eric which put a dampener on things a bit

Yeah, what happened to Sir Erec was awful. You could feel the mood visibly change on course when that happened.

I had €1 e/w on an 80/1 shot (went off at 50/1) in the last race on Thursday that won. Got €102 back for that. Won €30 on Early Doors in the last race on Friday. Just about ended up in profit, probably by €20 or so.

£95 profit for the week

Had Minella Indi on the Friday as my first runner in an each way patent, won at 50/1, was in dreamland looking at the possible payout if the last two had obliged. Ucello Conti didn't place and Mount Mews refused to run at the start, but thankfully BET365 settled it as a non runner which roughly doubled the payout of the bet.

Had a few winners over the week on each way multiple bets but couldn't manage to get 2 or 3 on the same bet.
Backed plenty of losers as well

Finished a bit down for the week but used a free bet I had got in one of my accounts to put a LOI bet on while I was having a pint in Cheltenham afterwards : Managed to clear the losses and end up with a nice profit !

Top Irish trainer Gordon Elliott is back in the saddle as he returns along with other horseracing experts for the 2020 Sean Graham / Irish News Cheltenham Festival Preview night at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Monday March 2.

Other racing experts on the night are former stable jockey and now assistant trainer David Casey, larger than life Mark “The Couch” Winstanley, top racing commentator and form expert Richard Hoiles and Gary O’Brien will again act as Master of Ceremonies for the Preview Night in the Europa Hotel.

Would imagine it's going ahead unless there's an outbreak in England (as opposed to people that are already in quarantine who subsequently came down with it)
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

The Cheltenham officals seem confident it will go ahead.
