Another 3-3 MORAL VICTORY for Frank's foeti It's great fun watching them try to beat the three goal handicap each week They were 2-0 up and only conceded the equaliser in injury time, so getting so close to an actual victory has to be seen as success |

Trying too hard, in the manner of "Fergie's Fledglings" (or "hypercorrect", to use the technical term). Carry on.

It looked like Southampton were trying a lot harder than Chelsea to be honest Personally I'd put that down to Frank being a conceited twat |

I read earlier this evening that they've conceded 99 goals in 62 games since he took charge. That is an incredibly sh*t record.

The English press have taken a serious dislike to Franco Lampardo, the Italian who is now in his second season as Chelsea manager
Dissent has been steadily growing among the Chelsea supporters too
"He hasn't got a clue what he's doing", writes Shaun Custard of The Sun "It's now clear that Lampardo-ball is not cut out for the Premier League", says the Telegraph's John Gammon "With the players e's gone and signed this summer for big, big money, Chelsea are a mess, he 'asn't got a clue 'ow to use 'em", says Dennis Wide on Chelsea Fan TV "Even the virtual Chelsea fans are losing patience with Lampardo, at least if you listen to the sound of Sky's canned crowd noise", says Norman O'Deal of The Times "He's come over here from Serie B - not even Serie A, Serie B for God's sake, and proved he's out of his depth - why are top clubs giving manager's jobs to these jumped up foreigners when we have so many good British managers out there?", asks Derek B. Rexit of the Daily Express "I cannot believe an Italian manager is that defensively naive - what the blimmin' eck is e doin', 'Arry?", said Paul Mercen on Sky in a studio discussion with Harry Redcap The English seem to have made up their mind about this Lampardo guy - he's useless But he's still there Can the little known Italian turn the sinking ship of Stamford Bridge around? |

That was pigspunk from Lampardo's boys tonight Thoroughly outplayed and lucky that their sheer turgidity of their performance seemed to make Sevilla lose interest as the game wore on Compare that to the very exciting performance of Manchester United tonight, a superb away win against the recent finalists They appointed local lad Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - Stalybridge's finest - the very epitome of Mancunian-ness - and they are reaping the rewards The virtual Shed must be wondering why on earth a little known Italian was appointed by Chelsea Sack watch ahoy Edited by sid waddell - 20 Oct 2020 at 10:13pm |

I could be wrong, but I think last night was the first time I've ever seen a manager make a double substitution in injury time. And whilst they were defending a corner no less.

A Chelsea performance so dull it was almost audacious
Franco Lampardo has gone back to basics, and for an Italian, that mean 0-0 draws The performances in the last two matches have been reminiscent of Homer Simpson's boxing tactics - just stand there and do nothing except frustrate your opponent - but the difference is, they didn't have the knockout feather touch to push over a bored and exhausted opponent that Simpson had Chelsea supporters are not going to stand for this snoozeball Sarri failed, the Chelsea supporters got him sacked, yet the club appointed another nobody straight from Serie B Crazy stuff Chelsea supporters will surely demand a fresh, young, exciting, home grown English coach very soon Somebody like Scott Parker |

Doesn't seem much social distancing in certain areas where the Chelsea fans are.

After a new goalkeeper bounce for Franco Lampardo things are beginning to fall apart again
Still no wins against a top half team and two defeats in a row now You just don't expect an Italian manager to be exposed on the counter attack like tonight - Wolves' winner made Japan's defending for Belgium's winning goal against them in the 2018 World Cup look like Mourinho's Inter Milan against Barcelona at the Nou Camp The English press will be on his back in a big way, as will the Chelsea fans who prefer a home grown coach |

Think Lampard has to accept a sizable portion of the blame for last night. They were poor against Everton and had a game three days later - he didn't freshen things up at all and instead went with the same team bar Pulisic coming in. We've heard all season how great Chelsea's squad is but he doesn't seem to be utilising it at the moment.

Terrific point for Franco Lampardo's Blues this evening, holding title contenders Aston Villa to a draw at the Bridge
That should silence the doubters for a while |
