The few times I've seen Chelsea this season without Abraham they have been awful. Amazing how quickly he has become arguably their most important player.

Would expect them to strengthen that area in the summer but until then they need to keep him fit to have any hope of staying in the hunt for the top four.

I thought Liverpool more or less had him. Chelsea hijack the transfer?

Seems Liverpool weren't willing to pay the release clause

€60mill doesn’t seem too crazy in the recent market. He would’ve fit well with Liverpool

Yeah, it's certainly not an extortionate figure, but by all accounts their finances weren't in great shape even before the pandemic

The minimum release fee clause of £49 million was expiring next week.

No one thought clubs were prepared to pay extortionate fees during a pandemic, then PSG signed Icardi for £51 million which has set the tone really.

Some good purchases from them so far. Have a feeling they'll get Sancho as well

Even if Frank's young lions don't equalise in the remaining minutes, the bravery of the performance has well and truly silenced the critics like me

The best of Britishness has been epitomised in this fightback

Result: 3-3

That's a MORAL VICTORY for Lamps and his brave young lions

A Crystal Palace like kit and a Crystal Palace like fightback

His "no, but seriously" in the post-match interview should be box office

Lampard has got an easy ride from the UK Press big time and he is overrated and has don’t very little so far.

However I also think the reaction to that from the Irish twitterati is OTT also.
AKA pedantic kunt
