You don't have to be mad to post here, you have to be certifiable. It's what makes it special.

Superb free kick - actually looked a better game then RTE's serving.

Are you not outraged with a Brazilian playing his football in Ukraine or does your outrage only cover the EPL?

So teams should only play players from their own Country is it?

I don't get the point you're trying to make.

Even the English can't relate to their own clubs anymore...if you go to an EPL game you are surrounded by tourists taking snaps...you hardly meet a proper English person at a match anymore in their own country.
Soulless grounds with soulless home fans.

Not sure how any Irish person can relate to the top five in England nowadays there's not even an Irishman playing for any of them.

Never mind support Chelsea!!

LOL

Any craic Enoch Powell?

Disgusted but that's modern football i.e. the year zero: the silent death of Cambodia - 1992 is the start.

But hey you are obviously part of the teatime tribe...good luck to you!

I think Gashley is romanticising an era of football that was nowhere near as great as he imagines it.

Technology has moved on. If everyone had a camera in their pocket in the 70s an 80s they'd have been doing the same.

We had soul Frank just ask Gary Mackay,Freewheeler,Gspain on here.

I'd have the old south terrace any day and was proud to stand among fellow Irishmen on it.
 Atmosphere and craic was superb.

Anyhow I've a lunchtime date with the lady with the diamond eyes in the bookies.

 At ease gentlemen!!

Eh I go to gamesw in England every week and I never hear any other non English accents bar the odd Geordie! There's more to football than the top 6 in the EPL!

Hardly - it's just they have a tough job to get to the Quarters, never mind win the thing. Also explains why Spurs are longer odds eg than an otherwise comparable team like Liverpool.

Anyhow, current PP odds:
10/3 - M.City
4/1 - Barca
5/1 - Bayern
11/2 - R.Madrid
9/1 - Liverpool
10/1 - PSG
14/1 - Spurs
18/1 - Man U
25/1 - Juve(!)
40/1 - Chelsea(!!)
60/1 - Roma
100/1 - Shaktar
100/1 - Sevilla
250/1 - Besiktas
500/1 - Basel
500/1 - Porto

Have to say, 4/1 Barca vs 40/1 Chelsea looks a bit imbalanced, since another Chelsea performance out in the Camp Nou like they put up at SB could still see them edge through.

Meanwhile, as with all bookies, it's not just PP's own assessment which influences those odds, but also the weight of money on them - eg if I stuck ten grand on Basel or Porto it still wouldn't make a bit of difference to their chance of winning (i.e. none), but it would shave their odds a bit.

Which is why I'm surprised at such a well-supported team as Man U being as long as 18's - suggests their fans aren't very optimistic?

Spurs were 25/1 before the 2-2 draw in Turin.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
