Monserrat Caballé passed away.

UCD AFC Supporters Club were inspired
by her work at few games.  Most recently  Dundalk v UCD Cup semi.

She was supposed to sing it with Freddie at the 1992 Olympics Opening Ceremony, when the organisers found out he had HIV they didn’t want to go through with it, didn’t come to that as he died in 1991.
They played the song as a backdrop to footage of Barcelona at the Opening Ceremony.

There was yet another "the Fat Lady hasn't sung yet" headline, this time Sept '18 as UCD closed in on 1st Div title Collie O'Neill (UCD Manager) sounded a cautionary note.
So the SC discussed candidates and most members could stand over Monseratt Caballé.  The masks came out a few times, but superstituion made their use modest.

Thanks for the kind words 9fingers

Peter Brackley the commentator for Football Italia on channel 4.
"Tell them to get out there and give it all they got and win just one for the Zipper. I don't know where I'll be then, Doc," he said, "but I won't smell too good, that's for sure."
