He was good in the underrated Miller's Crossing, playing an Irish-American gangster during Prohibition era.

Loved his manic Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express.

He was a big Man Utd supporter apparently.

John Stalker.
"Tell them to get out there and give it all they got and win just one for the Zipper. I don't know where I'll be then, Doc," he said, "but I won't smell too good, that's for sure."

Andrea Levy. Weirdly, I had just picked up a copy of 'Small Island' the other. Supposedly it is a masterpiece. She certainly had a big influence on the descendants of Windrush.

Bruno Ganz was very good in The American Friend (1977) with Denis Hopper, directed by Wim Wenders.
