Is this done or what? Can't see anything official apart from a fan account saying its reportedly done.

I assume he'll mainly play for Newcastle U21.

He might get a few games at U19 level in the UEFA Youth League.

Yep you'd have to think so he'd be too old for u18s team

Only turned 18 in April, so I'd imagine he's still U18 eligible, although you'd hope he has been signed with an U21 spot in mind.

Because he turns 19 during the 23/24 season, I think that rules him out.

Although I think every U18 Premier League team can apply for one U19 player to play if needed.

That only counts for the keeper. Any outfield player has to be U18 whereas the keeper can be U19.

Turning 19 after the season has started would likely help his case. Would assume anyone that's 18 when the season starts might be eligible.

I'd assume has been signed with their Under 21 team in mind for this year. Then maybe a loan next season if they can get him one. I have my doubts based on what I've seen of him as to whether he'll ever be anywhere where international or Newcastle standard in terms of senior games, but I'm sure he'll get a decent shot with their under 21s.

So does Cork city get anything from this deal, or is another highly talented Irish kid slipping out for zero to little money?

Currently playing for Newcastle in the Under 19 Champions League. They're 3-0 down at half time to his old club AC Milan.
