It's not a mental block in my opinion, it's just the English don't have the number of world class players they alone seem to think they have. Heard it again from someone on Sky the other day banging on the "world class" players England have.  In my opinion, the only world class players they have are Rooney (definitely)  and Gerrard at a push.  Lampard's effective but not World Class, Terry hasn't cut it at international level,  Michael Owen was world class 4 years ago, he's not anymore.  And any United or Chelski fan who says Rio or Cashley is World Class deserves a slap.

last worst class player to play for england was owen in 98 or gazza before that!

Gerrard is good for Liverpool cos he has Mascherano beside him doing a lot of the donkey work, and before that Alonso. Same with fat Frank at Chelsea with Mikel or Makelele beside him. The team as a whole would have a solid enough spine but the hype they have behind them is ridiculous, glad we get a summer of not listening to the BBC talking crap about them.
