Sean O'Connor has written a piece in the Indo about Kelleher, but the quote above is really striking. He's play about 1/6th of the senior club games Bazunu has, and 1/4 of the games Travers has despite being older than both.

Very much at a cross roads right now and needs to get out and be a number 1 somewhere by the start of next season at the latest.

None of this news to anyone on here I suppose! But still, sine Ă©!

Saw this mentioned a few weeks ago and they compared him to the likes of Ramsdale as they are similar ages. Ramsdale has made over 200 club apps. Yes, he was relegated twice but with the way goalkeeping is viewed by clubs now (stat and attribute driven), relegations are no longer as disastrous for a career as they onc were.

We can all say that he’s learning from the best and is at a huge club but it means nothing if he has played so little. He clearly as talent but should have far more experience than he has.

Realistically, if Allison left, Liverpool will buy a number 1. It won’t be Kelleher getting the chance. He’s been very badly advised over the last 2 seasons when his reputation was at its highest.

Not a good example this when your English like Ramsdale is it’s absolutely fine. You get a free pass and soft comforting language thrown at your direction. As we see with Meslier and Bazunu last year when your not you basically get blamed for your teams relegation like the two above did.

Trafford at Burnley the same this year Muric is the better short term option for them more experienced/ready made but Trafford is English U21 keeper so zero energy directed at pointing this out.

Awful shame he is out for a while. This is his best window to play for Liverpool really

Stitches in the joint following a clash in training. You’d be wondering what they were at the day before a game for that to happen.

No wonder they are always plagued with injuries some teams seem to be constantly plagued with them and Liverpool are one.

Sounds sore. 12 stitches is a lot. Agree it sounds like a Brian Cody era training session

Don't think he was great for the goal there tbh.

It was hit with plenty of pace in fairness but very central that he could get the foot to it.

Maybe if he was playing regularly he'd have that match sharpness to anticipate the shot.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Just saw it there, man through on goal, one-vs-one, hammers the ball low. Yeah, it's Kelleher's fault alright LOL

You’re very defensive!

Possibly could have came off his line thought he made it easy for the Toulouse player.

You're full of sh*t. Comes off his line and he gets chipped like Travers, we all know what the comments would be then. Honestly, there were people throwing sh*t fits yesterday because someone had the audacity to post that Smallbone got an assist for Southampton - then you have this end of the spectrum where some are trying to apportion blame to a keeper for getting beat one-on-one from a low, powerful shot. Comical.
We're decent enough..

I'd like to think I'd a fairly measured post on one our Irish goalies there but The 'Goebbels' O'Shea has set me straight.

Nothing he could do for the goal imo, good finish, struck early, hard and low. He did get away with an absolute howler later on in the game however for which he should have been punished. Asides from that glaring error, he did well and looked as composed as ever.

I thought he could have done better for the goal, but I do wonder if I'm judging him more harshly than I would any other keeper. He is very good with the ball at his feet.

At least he's definitely gonna get more games in the Europa League as Liverpool are practically through to the next round. 3-7 more European games is very possible.

They'll probably send Alisson back in as soon as they come up against any decent opposition in a knockout situation.

When will he ever have a proper career though. He is 25 and has never been a 1st team keeper.  He needs to move on soon enough.
