Could do worse than going out on loan to a team in Europe - Dutch/Belgian league etc
Any team paying 15-20mn for him at the moment is taking a massive punt- there just isn’t a sample size there to determine how good a keeper he is

With his traits he can move to pretty much any League in Europe. Just about sourcing the right move and showing the ambition that’s if teams ain’t priced out of a move like they seem to be atm.

Haven't seen any posts lately on here from Planning. He'd usually have an opinion on Kelleher. I suppose people come and go, if he's gone I hope it's for good reasons.

Not much in the way of transfer links for Kelleher in recent weeks. Not many Premier League teams looking for a first choice keeper now either. This is where his lack of first team football could come back to bite him. Some posters here were laughing at the suggestion of him dropping to the Championship or going on loan a few months back but it doesn't seem so unlikely right now.

Burnley bought James Trafford for pretty big money. You'd think that they might have considered Kelleher. Similar profiles.
The reality is that Trafford has played 87 senior games at 20, while Kelleher played 32 senior games between Liverpool & Ireland at the age of 24.
I'd consider going abroad if I were him.

You need interest and an offer before you can go anywhere.

That's why footballers have agents. Good ones find players clubs and contracts.
Philippe Senderos must have had some agent!

That's a fair point. But sometimes easier said than done.

Trafford came from Man City as well, Kompany has Guardiola's ear if he wants to sign anyone from the city squad

The other reality is one went for £15m and the other you will have to pay up to £25m which is what Liverpool want.
Trafford and Verbuggen are only 20yo Kelleher is 24yo so that comes into it. Even if Trafford/Verbuggen both do a Bazunu or Meslier on it and struggle in a relegated team there’s still plenty time to develop them and move them on for a higher fee. Both long term projects. With Kelleher perhaps not so much.
Will be interesting to see what happens with him now. Still plenty time in the window to get something sorted.

Nobody is paying £25m or anywhere close to it for Kelleher.

Oh I agree with that wasn’t saying otherwise. That’s Liverpools reported asking price.

Fair enough. Incidentally interesting to see the English player tax back in action with Trafford going for more than Bazunu despite Bazunu being rated ahead of him with them both being in the same year at City.

In fairness Trafford had a contract with City til 2027. Didn't Gav only have 1/2 years left when he went to So'ton?

25million is a high price, but you'd think a 10-15million fee with another 10million on add on fee, once he reached 100 senior games would tempt some teams.

It would damage this forums' reputation
