I'd heard of it. It's a good idea. Be interesting to see how it works, and with 50,000 + memebers the club would have a new a much bigger fan base.
Could it work for the Eircom League? |

fella in work is part of it, think hes pays a 50 bob a year into it.
Just asked him and he said that next month they are announing the club they are going to buy but no word of who it is as it will affect shares etc in club if it goes public before deal. This happened a few months back as I think they were due to takeover Blackpool but it fell through.

don't know about this fans picking the team business. Will end badly as 1, its very easy to pick a team from your armchair, and 2, what manager (head coach - what is this, american football!) in his right mind would be happy with that!

The lad that set it up was on off the ball tonight. Sounds like a good, interesting idea but will probably end up as a farce. The members pick the team from reports from Daish on how training goes during week and he recommends tactics etc. Members also vote on what players they want to buy. Its Daish's job to coach, motivate manage players etc and look after substitutions.
Wouldnt it be great to hijack the site (like nation once again bbc thing) and vote for him to play a 1-1-8 formation with long ball.
Theres an irish version of this trying to get off the ground aswell.
