Nasty looking injury for Ben Mee. Not sure how bad it is but could mean that new contract for Kevin Long came at a good time for the club.

Wood is a very underrated and effective player. Going into cliché territory here but he's a good old fashioned No 9.

United really struggled against him in the the last few games. I wouldn't mind a battering ram like him in the United squad tbh if Plan A fails and United need an aerial threat (especially on set pieces) going into the last 20 minutes of a match.

Old fashioned centre forward is exactly what he is.

I remember him playing for Leicester against Sunderland and he was superb.

Dion Dublin type, a real good no9, bit insulting to suggest buying him for an odd 20 min cameo though!

Not if he knows he's going from Burnley to one of the top three biggest football clubs in the world.

I couldn't see Wood turning it down at all tbh.

True, but I doubt United would be looking to sign Chris Wood.

Of course not.

It's just a hypothetical in the unlikely event it ever happened.

Good away win at Craven Cottage sends Fulham down to Championship and ensures another season of Premier league Football for the Clarets.

Next season will be Burnley's 59th in the top flight. Not bad for a small town team with no money.

Ramblers announced this earlier this morning. Great move for the club. Burnley under the new owners look incredibly ambitious.
