Bergkamp doesn't want the top job. He's happy in the role of assistant.

But I'd love Van Gaal to come back to this young, but very talented side. It's right up his alley, and would complete his career to finish as he started off.

Roger Schmidt also being named, and the usual carousel of jobless coaches that throw their names in the hat.

Around Reading, they are worried about losing Stam.

I hope not tbh. Great player, but a defensive mindset and approach. With our current batch of players that can play attackingly, I'd hate to see us play defensive.

I get why people don't like them, but I think despite them buying their way there, they earned it regardless of who owns them.

Is it any different from Man City being financed by the Sheikhs

It is different: Germany has the 50%+1 rule for ownership and they blatantly flout it. I know Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim are already exceptions, but at least two of them are understandable, being founded as works clubs.

Would Leipzig have enough in the tank to give Munich a run for their money this season ?

I can't see the difference between Red Bull owning and winning titles and having multiple teams . The only difference is Red Bull is a company in its own & the Arabs and Russians are a multitude of oil companies

Man City have to at least pay lip service to history and tradition and are, for the moment at least, primarily a football team. The primary role of RBL is to market the world's most foul tasting drink, the football is secondary.

Again I'll reiterate my point I get how they are owned and that they a marketing tool for Red Bull.

But as I said they earned the right to play in CL due to the on field performance.

Tbh looking at their squad they don't have any real super stars they've brought in a lot of young players.

Now being in CL may change that

That's their model alright and they done a great job finishing second last season, already bought Bruma in for next season who scored a stunnig goal for Portugal 21s last night.

The problem is that this idea of people owning several football clubs is becoming more common, we all know football isn't really a sport anymore, but how much of a sport is it when Salzburg and Leipzig end up in the same European group and the result is decided at the Red Bull EGM.
It is another nail in football's coffin, although the thing was well shut already.
