He's probably just illustrating how well Bulmers/Magners sales are doing since the price change at Wetherspoons. What with Bulmers being an Irish company an all.

If you don't really give a toss as you say why bother to reply?

Anyone off here tried this Whiskey cider?

Magners has launched its latest innovation onto the UK on-trade – a “spider” cider infused with whiskey.

500ml WHISKEY PSDDeclaring it a “game changer”, the brand’s latest offering combines Magners apple cider with Irish whiskey, adding to the UK’s so-called “spider” category of spirit ciders.

The 5.5% beverage contains a 25ml measure of Irish whiskey in each 500ml bottle and aims to tap into increasing consumer demand for premium ciders.

Ed Shoebridge, head of customer marketing at C&C Group, which owns Magners, said: “Magners has been at the forefront of cider innovations since it revolutionised the cider category in the nineties with its over-ice serve, and today we are introducing another game changer, Magners with Irish Whiskey. Consumers’ appetite for new flavours in cider keeps growing and we believe our new Magners with Irish Whiskey will offer a unique flavour both for whiskey lovers and cider lovers looking for something new.”

The draught you can get at the moment tastes nothing like what you get out of a bottle doesn't even have that same orange colour to it. I would rather be paying the extra 10p

Right enough CC the draught and bottled do taste very different.

The difference in some pubs in the price of Magners over here is crazy e.g my local sells the  draught @ £3.65 a pint and the bottes @ £3.45.
Thumbs Down

To be honest I'd rather send the bit extra for what I know is the better then save a few cents/pennies for the poor alternative

It is understood that C&C also intends to close its water-bottling plant in Borrosleigh Co Tipperary, at which it employs 140 staff.

An extra 80 jobs are expected to be created at Clonmel. It is not clear whether those losing their jobs in the other plants would be offered redeployment, though employment law might require the company to offer Shepton Mallet staff jobs in Ireland.

C&C will continue to pulp fruit at the Shepton plant.

DAFABET are lining-up a big-money deal to become Celtic’s main shirt sponsors.

Currently a betting partner of the Parkhead club, the company are ready to secure the biggest agreement of its kind in Scottish football.

Celtic signed a three-year contract at the beginning of the 2013-14 season for Magners to be on the front of the shirts but Dafabet are set to take over for 2016-17.
