So how different will we play

Anything other than a win and the pressure is on Kenny

Have to remember we won well the first game of Stans time and we all know what happened after that

Can't agree with that but we should win.
I'm hoping we see the start of a possession game.
Players playing with confidence, taking risks etc.
If we blunder a 1-0 loss but play very well, it's fine but dissapointing.

I'm just going to focus on style-of-play for game 1.

Yes, I agree. That's what most of us will be doing.

Maguire is a decent player, yes. But Obafemi is playing in the Premier League.

As said by others, SK is picking players to suit HIS style (I hope).

It’s just important for a striker to contribute to building the play, holding up possession and being able to make a contribution when you don’t have possession.  Walters was good in those situations, long was sometimes good, McClean is good without the ball but bad at holding it up, Keane was bad at both.

Kenny is going to play with a target man anyway. I’m not sure how Kenny’s system would have worked with Robbie to be honest but it doesn’t matter now.

Could happen. But it would be an indecisive start by SK all the same.

A phrase used in American sports. 'Under the gun' is another.

Stoichkov will not score.  Our defence is that good. I assure you.

Thanks for that insight Dots on the importance of contribution in a striker's play. It's duly noted.

Meanwhile, 68 goals at international level.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Kenny has made it clear why he didn’t pick him he has no experience playing out wide and he wants him to play in that format in the 21s first.

I would have liked to see Obafemi in the squad but he’s given a clear reason you can’t really argue with it.

I don't disagree with you or SK. The point I was making was in response to doherty's post about Maguire being a decent striker and able to score in the box and comparing that to Obafemi.
