This made me feel so old. I remember the kid being born. Rooney was one thing, being the first I remember younger than me, but this is the first I remember being born. Urgh.

Not all sons are worse footballers than their fathers.  It's fair to say Michael Owen has been much more successful than his father Terry Owen who played for Everton.

Gonzalo Higuain's aul lad played for River Plate, as did Gonzalo's brother.

Juan Veron's aul lad is an Estudiantes legend just like his son.

Mazinho's sons aren't doing too badly.

Cudicini's aul lad was an AC Milan and Roma goalkeeper.

Christian and Max Vieri's dad was a pro footballer.

Javier Hernandez's aul fella was also a Mexican international.

Danny Blind has a son playing for Gronigen/Ajax.

Miguel Veloso's dad played for Portugal.

Bilyaletdinov's dad was a professional footballer.

Xabi and Mikel Alonso's dad played for Barca and Spain.

Busquets's dad played for Barca.

Pepe Reina's dad played in goal for Barca and Atletico.

Forlan's dad and grandad(I think) all played for Uruguay and won the Copa America.

I am surprised no one has brought this up -

Nasty case - fair play to Rodgers to be by his side in court -
The underbelly of the football young guns - what a start to their football careers - can't even have been much of a good time - shagging a comatos woman - could'nt they have paid a few bob and hired a prostitute- sounded like the photos were more important than the actual act - which shows the mentality of young footballers -

I think having a high profile father in football could be more pressure than help - but its obvious that they would have a great advantage, so if they are talented its going to be easier -
