Service was poor last night but overall was happy enough. Only had a few pints before the game and a couple in there afterwards.

Wouldn't complain price wise as it is no different to most London pubs.

The hop pole pub in Wandsworth should be considered for next game in Fulham. Its across the bridge and down stream a bit but has a bus stop right across the road which will take to the park beside craven cottage. Its been run by an irish fella from meath since the 90s who is sound as a pound. Shows the gaa and soccer whenever its on and has trad sessions regularly. It also has picnic tables out the front and beer garden out the back. Worth considering next time imo: http://www.shepherdneame.co.uk/pubs/wandsworth/hop-pole

The hop pole is meant to be a great bar, never been myself but plan to go along to some of the trad sessions.

Myself, Philly and a few others ended up in the gold lion all day Saturday. It was £1.30 cheaper per pint than Brogans and there was a good atmosphere about the place.

Staff in Brogans were pretty poor. Not quite as bad as Corkonian, but up there.

The Hop Pole is my local and I can vouch that it is a great place with proper Guinness, Tayto crisps and RTE/ Setanta on the TV.  If I'm not at an Ireland match, I'm watching it at the Hop Pole.  Colum who runs it is a sound fella too..

The Hop Pole is a good pub, was only in there once. The landlord had Ireland on the big screen in the lounge and England on the little TV in the bar

Google Map has it a 35 minute walk, 25 minute bus or 10 minute taxi to Craven Cottage.

Only issue is Wandsworth is a bit further out of the way than Brogan's, so it would proably be a bit harder to get a crowd going there. Wouldn't imagine many fans would be staying around Wandsworth.

I can't imagine too many going back to Brogans after Saturday

They had more door staff than bar staff. Wasn't a massive fan of the place. However fair play to them for donating to the YBIG charities however I wouldn't be rushing back if we do play again in Craven cottage.

Wasn't mad on Brogans. Not much atmosphere in the place without the help of a fire alarm bell!

Kip, will never go back, staff ignorant, door staff ignorant, was talking to a couple of Irish girls in the pub across the road on the Sunday, and they knew both the bar men working on the Saturday and they are ignorant to the locals as well.

Even the free pints Kerrzy and I were given were slapped down on the counter.

I know nothing :-)

Poor spot, wouldnt go back in any rush. Bar staff were ignorant w**kers. Took bleedin forever to get served.

We ended up going across the road and drinking cans outside the shop after getting fed up.

Brogans was a grand spot to watch the boxing but like a good few others here, I wasn't overly impressed with the beer or the length of time it took to get one. They were just understaffed.
I happened to be standing beside Barnabee as he was served up two of the most septic looking efforts at pints of guinness I've ever seen in my life! Dead They didn't even resemble stout! Your one just shrugged her shoulders and said there's something wrong with the tap.
There was nothing wrong with their vodka or Jack Daniels though!
