Bray & Cabinteely Wanderers FC

What about a full change in name to really target the south County dublin crowd? For example,
Dun Loaghaire-Rathdown County FC (isn't North Bray in the county? Big smile)

Yep, if they change the name then they will lose a lot of supporters.

f**k Cabo they have f**k all history, Bray Wanderers or nothing, that should've been part of the negotiations to take over the club.

don’t quite get this “merger” but hopefully a new team can come in that isn’t a B team. Would selfishly love to see a team in Newbridge.

Like let's face it. Cabo are no loss as loi team. Their pitch was horrendous and their fanbase never took to loi. Bray have done well here because while it is a strange move they've now gained a schoolboy setup that's probably one of the biggest in the country as a direct feeder to the first team, which is something they've always struggled with.

If they keep the name, it could work out well alright, I very much doubt they will though.

Cabo were a joke on their own. Brought nothing to the league.

On a serious note, I feel very sorry for Bray fans who have soldiered on down the years supporting the club mainly in the second division. I hope you can take some comfort for the relatively recent 2 cup successes, but I'd imagine they are feeling really deflated and devastated at the moment. f**k CABO.
