Name and shame time, maybe some of our Polish members can give us the names of places to avoid. We can send the rip off spots this link

can we not email certain irish bars to confirm agreed prices, and this will guarantee them plenty of custom rather than everyone avoiding them

Not to do with prices but something much more important. Local anti-Fascists have recently set up a boycott campaign of two pubs in Poznan that are co-owned by an active neo-nazi called Maciej Witzberg. The two pubs are 'U Honzika' and an 'IRISH' themed bar called 'Brogans'. Stay clear lads.

IIRC the Dubliner Poznan charged 7pln for a half litre.

Browar in Stary Rynek was also 7pln.

Alibi Club was 6pln

Kuranty in Torun was 6.5pln

OK ... plus maybe will call some pubs off old square and ask, asking and giving a slight hints ...

All those owners of old square spots have always been stingy f...ers!

I'd be letting Vojt confirm prices before advertising rip-off culprits. Some price hiking is understandable enough but completely taking away the value of heading there will do them no good.

I will also canvass bars in the city.

I know for a fact that the local government has been in discussions about this very topic and has made their opinion known to local businesses.

As I wrote on the other thread, the local government will not look favorably on any bar or restaurant which engages in this practice.

I will send a link to this thread to a contact in the local gov. so they can act proactively.

I was in Bar Donegal in Gydnia 3 years ago and it was the dearest pint of our whole trip. We had a good craic in it and the Guinness was 100%. Smile
