Tyson Fury fighting Otto Wallin next month. Used to be 1 of AJ's regular sparring partners, that's all he's pretty much known for.
AJ v Ruiz 2 in December, venue still TBA. Hearn's team want it in Cardiff but Ruiz having none of it, his counter-suggestion is to have it not in the UK, America or Mexico.

Clash on the dunes is the marketing line. Should have called it Dance on the Dunes.

Ruiz knows he has to milk this for every penny he can get. If the Saudi’s are paying the most then that’s where it needs to happen.

?? What? Ruiz wanted New York or Mexico. AJ wanted either New York too or Wembley. Saudi is purely Hearn’s idea as a neutral venue was the only way Ruiz was gonna sign outside the locations mentioned

If they both wanted NY what’s the problem? I thought it was a neutral venue the offered the most money, no? It is understood that Saudi Arabian sports entities have put up close to $100 million for the contest to take place there. |

The promoter always calls the shots in Boxing, at all levels.
AJ is Hearn’s cash cow, if he lost the rematch in NYC his stock value is dead. If he loses in Saudi he’s pocketed an 8 figure fee for himself as collateral damage

I don't mind Eddie Hearn: Has improved the top level boxing scene in the UK, gets a lot of flack that sometimes isn't justified and does not take himself too seriously at all. But he was spinning some amount of bullsh*t at that news conference yesterday.

Rumours of the IBF rubbing their noses in the AJ/Ruiz situation.
They've just stripped Canelo of his IBF belt for not fulfilling his mandatory defence requirements last week and they stripped Fury days after he beat Vlad so they have good form being ruthless about this. Kubrat Pulev is the mandatory challenger. Hearn would hate to see it stripped more than Ruiz would!

They already confirmed they granted an exemption. Winner has to sign to fight Pulev by the end of May next year.

Anthony Yarde ko'd in the 11th by Kovalev. He was losing but then looked like he had Kovalev on his way out after a strong 7th & 8th round (Kovalev's trainer Buddy McGirt was in the corner of Maxim Dadashev before he died and was threatening to throw the towel in for Kovalev after the 8th).
Yarde had nothing left in the tank after that round and faded badly. Got knocked down off a jab and wasn't able to get up. Was watching an ESPN stream and Tim Bradley and Andre Ward were saying that Yarde never spars in training, which is absolute madness at elite level. His trainer gets a lot of stick and this wont help him.
