Tyson also seems very like able and has also turned his life around. But I can’t believe there has not been one mention in the press about his 2 year suspension for doping and his views on homosexuality.

There was only a nationwide petition to ban him from the SPOTY that year, not much press I guess.

I know that. But there has been no mention of it since his comeback. He wasn’t once asked to clarify his views on homosexuality in any press conference and there has been no mention of doping in the build up from any media.

I know that but no mention of it since his comeback. Hasn’t been mentioned in any press conferences in build up to fight. He wasn’t asked to clarify his views on homosexuality once. Doping not mentioned once by any media.

I watched it last night on IPTV
Do you know how to use torrent sites? It will be available to download.

It was a very good fight, Fury did enough to win it IMO.
After 11 rounds you would think all the judges had Fury ahead with Wilder needing a KO.

Fury is a nutter. Would love to see a rematch and with AJ there is potential to be a few good fights in the next 2 years.

There will be a rematch already.

WBC has ordered a rematch and have made Fury mandatory challenger so that Wilder can’t dodge him

Question in regards to boxing

If Wilder and Joshua fight would that in some way unify all the different organizations into one?

And one of them would just take over or would there continue to be 4 different organizations ?

No, it would mean the winner would hold all the 4 major titles at that weight. Chances are the probably wouldn't hold them for too long as the various organisations would want to enforce mandatory defences in rotation and some of those mandatories might not make financial sense for the champion so they could vacate.

Seems like a total headf**k, Why don't they just disband them all create a one organisation for all of them and have a massive tournament to determine the overall champion

The 4 main organisations are all separate businesses - All titles fights require a sanctioning fee. So, turkeys are not going to vote for Christmas !

He was clearly insane when he made those comments and has had well documented problems with alcohol, drugs and mental health.. People need to get over what he said..

As someone with huge admiration foe him I think it is churlish to just ignore what he said. Why the much railed against ' political correctness' has been such a progressive force for good in the world is it makes us think about what we say and why while considering other people's feelings.
Even when I disagree with the argument being put forward, such as the debate surrounding the 'Fairytale of New York', I find the debate progressive and good for society as we develop a better understanding.
Fury is a sporting giant, literally and metaphorically. His achievements in and out of the ring, his suffering and understanding of mental health, as well as his charitable nature and colourful character means everything he says and does deserves to be discussed.
I agree that there has been much more debate about his negatives than positives but all aspects should be discussed. He also should be given the opportunity to clarify them properly with the benefitof hindsight.
In saying that, there was far more made of his homophobia than McGregor's racism, which I found equally appalling and he couldn't even blame God bothering for it!

I don't remember that, it is hardly surprising though. A truly vile individual.

Was always an embarrassment to Ireland that this total knacker was heralded by so many as an icon and hero
