Devoy and Promise very good tonight. And that keeper looks the part which is a relief.

If Promise could learn how to keep control of the ball while dribbling, he'd be unstoppable. He lost control of it so many times last night when he was in good positions. He's very raw but there's so much potential there. Thought O'Driscoll did very well on him though.

It was the Shels player who knee'd it off the bar.

Great win considering the circumstances, and not the type of win you associate with this team. Ryan did well after warming the bench all season so far. Think it's the first game I can remember Finnerty play where it didn't look like he was going to make a mistake. Doherty was excellent, has done well since he moved back to CB. Flores done well at LB but it was a really sloppy mistake which led to Kelly's (who had been playing well) sending off. He'll be a big miss next week against Rovers.

Shels dominated most of the ball, even before the sending off, without really creating too much. They went long far too many times, and it was comfortable for the defence most of the time. Duff throwing some tantrums too.

The pitch was in really bad condition by the way.

Suits me, I can drive there quicker than I can to dalymount
