I fail to see what difference that would make, surely this is little more than mismanagement?

We have probably the smallest operating budget in the league. To be where we are now, with 23 points from 18 games, is punching above our weight from a financial perspective, but there are a handful of teams down the bottom I think we've a better squad than. I think we benefit from the fact that we don't have to pay a premium for players to move an hour or two outside Dublin, but we have a better squad than we should be able to afford. Occasionally we strike gold with players that other Dublin clubs with more resources don't want, like Dinny coming back, who in my opinion is a better player than Kurtis Byrne going the other way. But we were never going to be a team that'd trouble the top 4 this year. I'm just delighted were opening up daylight between us and the bottom three so if we get a run of bad results it's not necessarily catastrophic

But whatever your budget is, big or small, you shouldn't be begging for money at this stage of the season. If the club knew that you were most likely to be mid-table at best, and most people thought that, then why the panic now?

We're a members owned club. No one else, is going to put money in. If the members decide they want to make some further investments in this of all seasons when a quarter of the league will be relegated then that's entirely up to them. As pointed out, we have the lowest budget in the league as if is. Nothing to see here. No different than any owner looking to invest mid season.

Great win last night to pull a little away from the bottom three, it's so tight down there that there's 6 pointers left, right and centre. Thought the gap to Pats was coming down to 2 points way we played first half, great to see it at 8.

You do in your holes have the lowest budget in the league. You are way ahead of Drogbs and Harps and not far off Galway and Pats.

More virtue signalling from the Biggles club. Look at us, look at us

But it is. Even their dirty laundry has to come with a press release.

If members want to fund a player, let them. Nothing new or interesting there. Why play it out in public though? Because they need a pat on the arse and told how great they all are replacing Mr redacted

The Karl Pilkington comparison may be the most accurate thing I ever posted on here.

You know I'm right.

How best to contact the members? The members section on the tan forum? An email from the database? A letter? No, let's do a presser so the whole world knows.

You don't have to be a member to donate, a larger market is surely the whole point.

Are you saying that using the media is not an effective way of highlighting the clubs need for funds?

I know, I was shocked too when I saw someone using marketing to reach their target market. It really is shocking and unseen behaviour from Bohs

They don't 'need' funds. Some fans have decided to organise a begging bowl for a striker because Long decided to give a dying bloke a long contract.

It's classic B*hs. A total shambles

Did Rovers issue a press release when they had a whip-round to pay for RTID's lobotomy?
