Obviously Messi will win this, if he can win it last year when it should have been Sneijder or Xavi then he is definately going to win it this year. I reckon he'll get 40%+ of the vote.

Abidal must be a charity nomination!

There's actually 4 EPL players on the list tribal - Rooney, Suarez, Aguero and Nani. Still, it's a far cry from the amount of names they would have had on this list a few years ago - and probably further evidence of the decline of England's top division.

Abidal* and Fabregas? Confused WENGER FOR THE MANAGERS?

Where is Van Persie? Hernandez? People that actually did something to merit being on the list?

*I'm aware that Abidal was very sick, but it doesn't merit being on the list for world player of the year.
What are you looking at?

I just assumed Falcao was there. His absence makes the list even more preposterous. And Wenger? Shocked

It doesnt matter who wins, its a joke shop of an award. Even if the right person wins, nobody can take it seriously. Its not even a matter of opinion because i think everyone is in agreement that the likes of Abidal, Benzema and Wenger in those lists are laughable to the vast majority of the footballing world. It makes no sense. I refuse to acknowledge the award.

No secret that FIFA are an absolute joke but they're really going hell for leather with this shortlist.Fair play to Abidal for coming back to the game after his illness but he should be a million miles from that list.Ronaldo, despite smashing goalscoring records, probably wont even make the top 3,which says it all about where FIFAs preference is
