Hopefully someone who got the same email can tell you if the same format. I understand your predicament but winds me up that someone uses an appeal designed to look after deserving cases (?) and then touts - pure scumbag imo.
"Perhaps the reason that they did not consider the worst, was because discussion of such cases would have cast suspicion on the planner as being a "saboteur". Paranoia was rampant throughout."

Some Romanian guy on Facebook was selling 2 France v Romania tickets for the opening game. cat 3 which is 200 euro but he's selling them for 400 each. I told him you can get cat 4 on viagogo for 250 for that match. What a clown. You could get 400 euro cat 2 tickets on the resale portal at any time. Why would you pay a tout for them at that price.

He goes to Romania matches according to the pics on his profile so chances are he got them off the Romanian FA.

Uefa have already announced tickets have been cancelled due to the fact that the person had the tickets for touting . Its a chance you take

Category 1 are €145 according to UEFA so don't know what the extra €3 is for. Wont really believe they exist until I see someone confirm they got similar email from FAI with regards email layout, wording and prices, etc. Seen them on 'UEFA Euro 2016 fan ticket trading' page on facebook. If, emphasis on the IF, they do exist they're coming from the FAI's appeal stash so cant see how they'd be involved/picked up by UEFA for touting at this early stage of there life cycle.

Looks like a genuine FAI email - I was offered 2 X cat 2 for Italy for 108 euro which were 3 euro above FV, which the FAI called a 'booking fee'. Format and wording of email from OP is identical to the one I got. Dirty tout - should get his Account Number and report him to the FAI.

Let me guess Alan Doyle is it? A fake profile added into the mix if it is.

Face to face meeting if your going for it, bring along a real ticket to compare it with. No bank transfers or PayPal for this lad. I'd take a pic of his passport too.

Facebook is riddled with chancers, scammers all looking to make a quick buck.

It would be great to have a card only entry to all the stadiums for the euros . The credit card you used for booking is the card you scan to get through the turnstiles .

Send me on his details and I'll report him to the FAI. I have done it already.

It will be face to face if its going to happen. Have a two week window before tickets physically arrive (and possible deal done) to try and sort out legit tickets from a valid avenue, wont hold my breath though. Don't have the person's full details yet either, keeping things vague until d-day for bullet biting arrives. Currently just a reserve option to have in background. Unfortunately every option outside of legit direct channels is open to scamming, chance genuine fans are made to take when we're not looked after through the proper channels unfortunately.

No luck with soul destroying resale portal or FAI appeals in my search for 2 Belgium tickets.

Currently pursuing all possible avenues and I've stumbled across a person on facebook selling the tickets I require. Naturally apprehensive but desperate times and all that. Here's where I need yer help; as proof of his purchase via the FAI appeals process he sent me a partial screenshot of his confirmation email from the FAI and I'm hoping this corresponds with what some of ye received, therefore proving his legitimacy or not. Here's a typed up version of his screenshot;

"We would like to thank you for registering for the UEFA EURO 2016 ticket application waiting list. Due to an unprecedented number of requests - a record for the Football Association of Ireland and one of the highest of any participating nation at Euro 2016 - we took as long as possible to thoroughly vet the list of submissions. We are delighted to inform you that we can offer you the following tickets;

Fixture

Stadium

Number of Tickets

Price per Ticket

ROI v Sweden – 13th June 2016

Stade De France, Paris

ROI v Belgium – 18th June 2016

Bordeaux

4

148

ROI v Italy – 22nd June

Lille

Looks dodge but just need confirmation from people in the know. He states the tickets are Category 2. Thanks

As other have said either report him to the FAI or send to the details to Hoskins who will report it

I can't see him reporting the ticket if it means he won't get one to the match then.

Your right, I wont report anything unless I get sorted another way in the next 2 weeks. I report him or get one of ye to and then I'm back to square one again, only this time probably staring at tickets that cost €400 instead of €250. It'll get him shut down but they'll be 100 more behind him looking for more. Catch 22 I'm afraid.

Some Twat on another site provided his ticket details including his name and number....................... not Irish however was for one of our games but decided that maybe UEFA should look at him so sent them to them.
Hopefully they will cancel his tix.

IF you see tickets touted, offer to buy them, get as much information as possible ideally ticket numbers or fai account number if any and save all communications.

If there is enough proof and tickets can be traced they can and will be cancelled.

If you want to PM me the info i will forward it onto the FAI or alternately email them yourselves.

If you are thinking of buying tickets from an unknown source be very careful they may well be cancelled.

The seller could even report them lost and resell the newly issued tickets, or if UEFA are made aware they were offered for sale they could be cancelled.

Buy from touts at your own risk.
I know nothing :-)

Hey guys,

I've applied for Euro 2016 tickets through my football club with the LSL (Leinster Senior League). They emailed my club this week saying the FAI have informed them the price for tickets are going up €3. e.g. Cat 2 are now €108 instead of the original €105.

Just wondering have you heard anything about this? Almost sounds like the LSL or FAI are taking their own cut.

3 euros ain't much of a cut and lets face it buying via UEFA its 15 euros postage.

Cost is less than a beer.......................... lots of guys on here with zero tickets would happily pay.

The tickets that the FAI gave from the appeals list had a couple of euro added on to them aswell so wouldn't say it's anything to do with LSL. Could be wrong though.

I know someone that got tickets via the appeals process. The €3 per ticket is supposed to be for delivery. No extra charge if you collect from FAI in Dublin apparantly.
