Anybody who has followed Mageen over her career shouldn't be surprised that she is running her best times now - She's made a lot of changes in terms of coaches and where she trains and as has been pointed out above is injury free for the first time in a long time.

Anyone who has followed Mageean knew this was coming. If she's doping then I'll hold my hands up and would be absolutely shocked. 

It's much more likely in my mind that she's finally had a clear run without any injuries or niggles and that combined with the shoe technology is translating to these results.

Fortunate enough to know Ciara thru my own wife who runs in those circles (pun absolutely intended). No chance of CM doping. This performance has been on the cards for a while. 

Re MacKenna - I saw him nicknamed as "Sports Gemma" and I can't think of a more appropriate moniker. Waste of space. The reviews of his book from a few years ago on McGregor are hilariously bad.

When Mageen's head is right and injury free. She's capable of anything. It's no surprise to see her run sub 4m.

She's run sub 2m for the 800 2 or 3 times this year.

Glad to hear and would tally with my own feeling from following Ciara over the years. We've known this level of performance is in her for a long time

Sports Gemma is a perfect way to sum him up as well. Thinks of himself as a bastion of truth. I've never seen the prick take a backward step in anything no matter how much evidence is presented to him. He reminds me of plenty of political pundits and famous "academics" who talk a lot of sh*te about things they don't know about.

She's the real deal alright.

She will go sub 50 in the Worlds and win a medal - I'm hoping that Femke Bol and Sydney McLaughlin both stick to the hurdles.
Bol broke the 400m indoor world record - she's an incredible athlete.

Have been following her progress for the last year or so. She's genuinely the real deal. Her biggest issue will be deciding which event to prioritise.
