Yeah there’s 2 lower arms, it’s usually the one further towards the rear of the vehicle.
Mine were squeaking & knocking under heavy braking or sharp steering movements

Could be just age, or could’ve been something rubbing against it & weakened it.
Should be fairly straightforward. I’d imagine if you drop it your garage at 9am. You’ll have it back before lunch fingers crossed
Thanks as always 9F Thumbs Up

daithi.....it’s time you bought your missus a new car....that Hilman Imp you bought her brand new is now a “classic car” and should not be driven regularly ....get her a cheaper to run car ....like a Porsche Boxter or something similar
LOL, i am buying her a bike for christmas, an eska, it is all i can afford after having to keep fixing the imp LOL

Can anyone recommend a good garage that is open on Saturday's he lives Liffey Valley area, although he said he wouldn't mind travelling Northside, so 9Fingers if you want to take him on?

Just want's a general service and possibly might have an issue with something else

Not that I need to tell 9F, but translated, this means;

2 bald tyres with wires coming out through them
Front balljoints fcuked
Timing belt overdue by 40,000 kms
Newish rear brake pads stuck on rear disks which are at the limit, now wondering why there is ''a noise''
''A warning light'' (dash lit up like a christmas tree)
''Slight pull to left'' (need 2 hands on right hand side of steering wheel to keep car straight on road)
Obligatory oil leak, source unknown, 5 lads have already looked at it without finding it.
Minor cosmetic damage

Picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.....

Post was in jest Bob, well half of it anyway, any time I hear the phrase 'another issue' or 'one or 2 other things' a big red warning light (similar to the one on the dash that doesn't get mentioned) goes off in me head. Unfortunately, this is entirely down to experience, and I know without asking that 9F would concur with that.

Not really. Main dealers tend to get these calls, usually from someone who has never been in the door of the place before. The service is incidental, usually because its a fixed price anyway, and the real reason the car is being brought in is because of the ''other issue''. Translated, this means that the usual lad who fixes it has run out of ability on this occasion, or may not have the diagnostic tools to correctly diagnose a problem. In my experience, the 'other issue'  is rarely anything simple, because if it was, the car wouldn't be there in the first place.

My neighbour asked to me help her put water in her car for the wipers.
Neither of us could find the lever to lift the bonnet!!
It’s a B150 Merc, anyone know is the lever in the car or at the bonnet itself???
