Named as one of the Championship's breakout stars so far along with Ogbene.

Out with an ankle injury. Norwich still waiting to here how long he will be out for. Always worrying hearing that with an Irish player it just tends to be the worst worst case scenario 9 times out of 10 as seen with Doherty and Idah!

Norwich have cursed us. Two of our biggest prospects in recent years just can't stay fit. You'd worry about Idah long term. He turns 22 early next year and has yet to really get going at Norwich due to injury and Pukki being so good for them. Sargent is finding the net more frequently now as well. More competition for him when he finally does return. Maybe a fresh start would ignite his career. Omobamidele really needs a solid season of 35+ starts under his belt. The ability is unquestionable.

Tbf Norwich have been very good to Irish players even young Tony Springett getting minutes here and there. Two decent prospects indeed Norwichs next two in the pipeline and we know how good there track record is recently. Only thing both boys need to be playing top flight football in 3/4 years time is a clear run with injuries. All should be simple but typical of Irish football nothing just seems straight forward does it. Omobamidele had a back injury last year and ligament issue this time. Could only be a niggle but it's still damage per say and just has to be treated with kid gloves. One of those things whereas Idah it is a recurrent issue with his knee a constant. Concerning. |

Will miss the internationals next month. From Smiths press conference: "It's a nasty looking ankle at the moment but he (Andrew Omobamidele) should be back after the World Cup. Idah they'll be hoping to get back training during the WC. Edited by J89 - 22 Oct 2022 at 4:57pm |

Back in the starting line up for tonight's game vs Luton having recovered from his injury. Idah on the bench too.

Norwich turned down an approach from Leicester for him in January according to the Sky Sports boys. Wasn't one I was aware of.

Very interesting. Sensible by Norwich. They're just outside the play offs with a new manager. Keep him for that tilt and if he impresses and they don't go up he's worth much more, particularly if he gets a spell uninterrupted by injury. If that happens I'm sure he will impress. What a fine player.

Doesn't seem to be having a great season unfortunately. O'Shea leaving him for dust in terms of the Irish starting spot alongside Collins and Egan. |

He's played 90 minutes in 20 of the 22 games he's appeared in (subbed on once, only substituted off once). I don't think I'd be panicking about a 20 year old centre back having an off day.

I have seen a good few of the Norwich games this year and Andrew has been solid, don't know where 'he has struggled' has come from.
