If Andy Moran had no composure and a poor first touch he'd still be playing LOI.

I don't mean it literally. I mean it's not of a high level . If you compare his composure to that of that young kid Mainoo he is miles behind, ditto with that kid Wharton who is now playing with Crystal Palace.

I never said he had a poor first touch . I said its unreliable, which is apart of composure. The fact that his first touch is inconsistent means he lacks a certain amount of composure . That can't be debated .

With Wharton and Mainoo their first touch never lets them down .

Let's compare him to Mainoo literally the best 18yo Centre mid in World football.

You don't even have to compare him to Mainoo. Compare him to Wharton at Blackburn or that lad at Nottingham Forest Morgan Giggs White, who was brilliant the other night . It's pretty obvious to anyone with an iota of football knowledge that those two are going to the top .

The general consensus among Brighton fans is that Moran will need another loan. While he had a good start to his loan at Blackburn it fizzled out pretty expeditiously.

The previous manager regularly benched Moran, so its not just a case of just  the new guy not fancying him.

Of those Blackburn fans who have seen Moran play week in week out, he has many detractors. Their main criticisms of him is that he regularly ghosts in games. and that he regularly gives up possession due to a poor touch or being muscled off the ball .

His few supporters who do see qualities in him say on his game, Moran has a good touch and good vision, and might carve out a decent career for himself at Brighton.

Thats fine, if he is as good as Gibbs white, or Mainoo after another loan we will all be creaming ourselves Clap he has done well for his first loan, compared to many of our other players (parrott at millwalll for example) if he gets another one next year and does well he has a bright future

Perhaps you should read the first paragraph again . I wasn't comparing Moran to MGW or Wharton in favorable terms . I brought up those two as a comparative to illustrate my point that he isn't at their level, much less Mainoo's.

Morgan Gibbs-White is 24 years old, at 20 he was likely rooted to the Wolves bench making the odd cameo often losing the ball because of some stupid flick he would try in a dangerous place or getting out muscled constantly, off the pitch he was going partying during lockdown. Guess what he went on loan, gradually physically developed and made better decisions in games with experience. Andrew has 4 years to catch up with him. LOL

As for Wharton and Mainoo you always get the very physically developed lads who find playing mens football easier at a younger age. Moran has some catching up to do. No need to write him off because he isn't in the top % of under 21 year old footballers yet.

I remember seeing MGW in the early days for Wolves . Even then I could see he had a very rare talent in an England player , was surprised when the coach benched him obviously didn't realise he had a diamond in the rough, which was symptomatic of English football at the time.

As regards Wharton and Mainoo. both have more talent in their big toe than Moran has in his entire body .

If you think Moran is going to catch up with either then you are deluded. I can only guess that you took the Brighton coaches Irish Phil Foden comments a bit too seriously.

Surprising anyone would even respond to that absolute nonsense about a 20yo lad on his first loan to a Championship club. Clearly has a very unhealthy obsession with Moran.

I watched MGW more than anyone. Bar a few good cameos he didn't do a lot else (and often a liability due to very poor decision making and lacking physicality) and he got plenty of chances due to a small Wolves squad at the time and being our star academy product, Brighton for example have a lot more of those so much harder to come through. MGW eventually got his chance spending a few years in the championship on loan (Swansea then Sheff Utd) before Forest paid a whack of money for him. Good player was always talented but he was so far from the finished product at 20 years old.

I'm not saying he's as good as those two at all, what I'm saying is both of those are very physically developed from a young age which helps and maybe he's not in the top 1% of under 21 footballers worldwide like those two are but he could still go on to be a very good player especially from our perspective. You clearly just have some wierd expectations for him that he can never meet so you will ridicule him and write him off.

Wharton and Mainoo always look like they have so much time on the ball, that's to do with their first touch and football iq , not their physique.

Moran isn't struggling so much at men's football because of his physique, it has a lot more do with his unreliable first touch and lack of football iq .
