I'd imagine he'll be fit for the start of the season. Not a bad time to get it. He's had far worse injuries. Very unfortunate though.

Just a shame for him that he missed the Gibraltar game and a chance to build on his cameo.

Makes for depressing viewing these days. Occasionally shows flashes of the player he was, but the injury definitely robbed him of something, perhaps a bit of balance or coordination. Whereas before he was purposeful and composed, he now seems to fumble around with the ball, never quite getting it 100% under his control.
In contrast, Byrne was fluid and polished in his play when he came on, he really should be jumping Judge in the queue going forward.

He's no number 10 - wasn't taking many up many good positions between the lines & when he did receive the ball he generally went sideways or backwards with it. A backup option on the wing at best. MMcC ssems to like him though.

+1 He looked lost out there. He's struggling to get his game for Ipswich in L1. He's one of Micks favorites though. |

I think Mick liked him cause up until last night he was the only real number 10 available to us. But there's a new Sheriff in town!! Yee-haw!

If it was Jack Byrne playing poorly the last 2 games then people would be giving out that he’s a too low of a standard. Can’t see why people accept the fact that he’s Micks favourite despite the level he’s playing at yet the same people give out about the LOI

This is fair, really. Even pre injury, he was always at his best facing and attacking the goal. Playing in from the left gives him scope to open up with his right foot, which is still his greatest asset. Number 10 doesn’t really suit him I think

Probably because while there may be exceptionally talented players in the LOI, it is of a much, much lower overall standard than any of the EFL.
