I wonder would a lower end Premier League take a chance on him on the cheap in January or on a free next summer. Seems like a player that could do a job in the top division maybe without ever being a standout player at that level. Has certainly served his time in the Championship anyway - six seasons as a regular at that level for Preston.

Yeah a regular under Mick McCarthy in 2019 and only Covid deprived him of more than his two appeances in 2020. While I don't think he played particularly well today I do think a move to a bigger club or a club that plays a different brand of football than PNE would benefit him.

Signs a new three year deal at PNE that's great news for Preston. Wonder if he could have been a bit more ambitious but he's happy there and I'd imagine he's their top earner now.

I don't know how serious the Trabzonspor interest was but if it was genuine he'd be better off there rather than spinning his wheels at Preston. They're a strong team competing for a European place year in, year out. He's already achieved as much as he ever will at Preston. They're not strong enough to sustain a playoff challenge and I suspect they will sink down the table once Alex Neil leaves.

Would imagine he'd be on more money at Preston than would be offered in Turkey.

Surprised a Burnley/Palace/Brighton/Newcastle type Premiership club wasnt in for him. International with loads of championship experience is surely worth a punt on a free

Crystal Palace and Southampton were credited with interest previously. Turkish teams can look attractive financially, not least for tax reasons, but he is settled with a young family now and will be on decent money as a key player for Preston on a good long term deal. Good news for Preston and I am sure he is happy with it.

Anyway himself and  Molumby in the same team can only be good for us.

Suppose we'll find out in the coming weeks but are they not quite similar and may be competing for a space?
Or would they be seen as complimentary players?

I was thinking that too, I see Molumby as a holding midfielder and I know browne plays there too.

I think the difference is that I've seen Browne play the holding role, as a right back, midfield just in behind the forwards and right wing. Hes a very versatile player.

If they can both play in midfield together that would be very good for ireland

Alan Browne is not Premier League level. He would struggle to start for any side in the top flight. Good earner for him and hopefully he can help improve Molumby

Both Browne and Molumby start in the middle of the park for Preston tonight,  could be an interesting watch.

Looking at 3 at the back In a 3-4-1-2 formation but that could change with Cunningham not in the team.
