It wasnt quality or a screamer as suggested on the Sunderland thread. Showed a bit of desire and a decent finish but nothing outstanding.

Yep it was just a half decent goal, nothing special, it wouldn't compare to the usual screamers he's been scoring the last couple of years.

Still good to see him score again.

I see he got a bollicking off the Preston support for celebrating the goal . He got a lot of grief of their fans . Surprised after all he did for them, but apparently wasn’t very diplomatic in advance of the game .

I saw some Preston fans saying he got abuse because when they applauded him during the warm up he ignored them

Quality tackle quality finish from Aido. On reflection screamer was the wrong word to use for Aidos goal.

Sunderland Echo on Aido " Stung by boos from the opening by home supporters he scored one superb goal and nearly added another tracked back and defended well. "

Grayson sacked following another draw. Unlikely to do Aiden or the other Sunderland Irish any good.
We're decent enough..

The inevitable. Himself and McGeady are morons for moving there in, poison of a club, both had great things going on at Preston that they should have/would have been able to build on this season.

Would have largely benefited Horgan, Boyle and O'Connor too given they were his signings and not getting much a look in under Neil.

Madness, I'm sure Grayson is up a few bob, and McGeady is closer to the end of his career rather than the start of it, maybe that's why they went there, but it was said by plenty on here & elsewhere that Sunderland were more likely to exit that division via the bottom rather than the top given how poorly run they are.

McGeady kind of is the Sunderland Irish these days, JOS is behind emergency glass for Ireland, and Gibson won't be seen again unless about 6 midfielders get injured.

Picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.....

All of them started tonight, could have been the start of good things from our POV. McGeady and Wilson are the only 2 I'd be confident of retaining their place, could be difficult for JOS and Darron.
We're decent enough..
