Denmark and Switzerland aren't elite teams so it's not comparing like for like really is it? Elite sides are the likes of Germany, France, Spain etc so while Denmark and Switzerland are better sides than us, they aren't miles ahead of us at the same time if we had our strongest 11 available especially over the coming months seeing our panel getting better with all the young lads coming through.

I lambasted McCarthy because his mantra is to go out and not lose as opposed to try and go and win a game. You can be tight and compact and still look to actually win a game! Provided you have a proper game plan, something that was devoid under McCarthy.

Anyhow, hopefully we have a bright future and signs are at least positive that better days are to come especially if a lot of these young guns fulfil their potential.
I know which teams are elite but you say we need to be "tight and compact" against "quality" teams. Do you not consider Switzerland and Denmark quality teams? Are they "bread and butter"? My point was it's a major challenge for Kenny to raise our capability to score more than once in matches against such teams whatever tactics he uses. I can only remember two or three occasions spanning four managers when we've done so.

Good 45 minutes from Idah. Similar to Connolly last night in that he was a bright spot in a well beaten team.

Would be great if both got a start against each other on Saturday but it's a long shot.

Only a sub today v Brighton which is disappointing he's been the only positive of Norwich's season so far. Its a must win game for Norwich so would hope he's introduced sooner rather than later in the game.

Only positive?! He has only scored in 1 match. I think Pukki & Cantwell have been big positives. Bizzare comment

Pukki dropped today, I'll admit Cantwell has played well for them (as has Pukki at times) but that was expected, maybe I phrased my post wrong
Anyway Cantwell and Idah on for the second half.

Fair enough, Idah has been a small positive and he has just hit the post with a good header. Can see him doing well in the Championship next season. Pukki has actually fallen off a cliff lately

He has been very good in his cameos, a real handful. He is super strong and getting stronger every match, very quick and when his confidence is up he is very good technically. I was not too keen on him when he played those games early on for the 21's but i realise now it was just game time. totally sold now and think he will relish the championship next year

Looks like he’s come on in leaps and bounds in the last couple of months. A season playing regularly in the championship could turn him into a very handy player
