I get ad's bring in revenue so I'm not saying to cut them completely, but these new large ad's that cover a huge portion of the screen are ridiculous.
The absolute worst part is the privacy widget/box think blocks 90% of the close button. I either click the add or privacy box 10 times before I manage to hit close. Alot of the time I'll give up and just log out. Viewing on Samsung S20 on Google Chrome btw. Everything fully updated etc Edited by GreenDodger93 - 19 Jul 2022 at 5:01pm |

Yes it's a pain in the nuts, at times completely blocked from what you are trying to view

Yeah I understand that revenue is needed but these ads are pretty intrusive.

No luck on this? It's actually gotten worse. Lately the privacy widget often completely blocks the close button.
Surely the privacy widget can be moved a centimeter up

Change to Firefox, you can install adblock extensions that get rid of ads on all sites.

I see it's been already said but would you not just use Firefox etc? Just even for YBIG forum if the ad's are doing your tits in? It's not like it's any hassle. |

Yeah every few pages a box appears in bottom right rather than the banner along the bottom. The bottom right box covering the next page button.

Yes, those banner ads in the bottom right are shocking. Really off putting.

I'm all for advertising, the banner at the bottom is workable, the one on the top is fine, it's just when it clocks the buttons bottom right that it prevents users from using the site properly. Maybe more built in ads and less of the floating ones? |
