How could it be legit FFS sure UEFA don't even know at this stage

Minor tweek to what I posted earlier

  • 2 weekends set aside for NL ,
  • 1 Nov Weekend for playoffs - which doesn't affect the 'big clubs'
  • only NL 2 games moved
  • clubs would be happy with that IMO

that looks like works for us on paper but will it work for all Nations League games. If even one round can’t be reworked to fit the 3 games it would be scrapped. Plus outside of the 16 teams in playoffs our opponents may be against this increased schedule for no gain. But end of day if UEFA do pick something like this not much they can do to argue

It should work in principle I think - take the last 2 games and put 1 after the first 2 and 1 before the last 2 so 2 triple headers over 2 weekends

only disruption is the last two games

6 NL
Semi and possible final.
They wouldn’t be adding any friendlies to the mix.
The season ticket will be all over the shop.

I was thinking the exact same. 6 Nations League games & 2 possible Play off games ???

There was mention of a possible friendly also but no mention of when.

I would of thought UEFAs priority in order will be champions / europa league, getting the NL games in place to feed into World Cup qualifiers and euro the playoffs. As the playoffs involves 16 teams, 12 games in total and 2 max per team they are the most flexible.

If we are to have 2 games out of 3 away in a 3 game sequence, I'd prefer to have the 2 aways next to each other AAH/HAA than being split by a home game. Possibly cuts out a flight or 2 that way.

A lot would be looking at 2 flights over & back to Bulgaria, and same with Finland, a home game in the middle of those 2 aways means up to 8 flights for some to get to those 2 games, if the 2 aways are together, it should be possible to cut the amount of flights needed by at least one or 2, even for those who love the multi stop options.

Picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.....

I think best solution for us would be move Round 5&6 of NL to March. Use November for Play Offs.

That will require the world cup qualifiers to move also.  Now there is room as the world cup is a winter one.  However now.the euros are in summer of 2021.

I think they will want to cram as much as of nl in as  planned and get playoffs done by the end of the year.

Agreed they currently have a schedule and presumely sold/in the process of selling  the TV rights for all the teams including the major teams Germany England etc  over 3 matchday s and 200 + games - I think they will want minimum of disruption to this not least to get some revenue in

If matches are to go ahead in the autumn, it's hard to see how they can be anything but behind closed doors.
