"The Football Grounds of Europe" about Dalymount that :- "You walk down lanes you'd expect to find a backstreet mechanic only to stumble onto a national stadium steeped in tradition and history"

From my reading of it f*ck all. Investec are trying to sue Jones Lang LaSalle as they gave a bogey value on the ground which they lent against. The money they are trying to sue for is only if Kelleher fails to repay the loans as the colatteral used was not of the value specified by JLL and they would not have lent it had the valuation been correct.

Who is 'we' though?

Kelleher owns the stadium and has borrowed €18m off the deeds.

People are right in terms of it doesn't impact Pats per say - but not looking good for Special K, is it?

Correct. But the real question is why Investec care about the valuation on a 2008 loan. Why is this even up for review...?

Just like buying a house, selling to a property speculator who then uses it as collateral to fund another project that failed to the tune of 18 times its value and is currently being pursued for this money.

"It claims JLL is liable to it for potentially more than €17m in circumstances where neither Mr Kelleher, who had provided guarantees over the loan, nor his companies are able to repay the sums due."
