not over yet - Israel just gone 3-2 up v Slovaks who were winning 2-0

If this puts us in pot 2 it's a massive, massive, result for us.

Israel comeback was great for us. NI, Romania and Czech Republic, Hungary results meaning our loss hasn’t been as bad as it could have been for seeding, still hope left for 2nd seeds I think.

If we are in Pot 2. Every one will want us. As bad a pot 2 team as you'd get. We'd be a weak pot 3 team.

How many more rounds of games have we to keep relying on other results then?

We have been very lucky with draws and other results!

Since the away Wales win we have had loads - drew the weakest team we could on paper in Denmark (we also relied on other results to not be the worst second place side), drew one of the weakest top seeds in the Euros group in Switzerland, and had a favorable draw in this NL.
Now despite our terrible results, we have Israel coming back along with all other teams around us losing.

November internationals postponed until after the WC draw would be the icing on the cake - otherwise I expect one of NI or Slovakia will pick up quite a few points from their playoff and probably pass us.

think it’s important that we try to stay in pot two and I think we can beat Bulgaria and possibly draw or beat Wales in a months time If the games happen. If they don’t happen we get pit 2 then which could suit us.

However while we want to avoid the swiss and Poland I think Norway in pot 3 would be worse than some of the pot 2 teams and I think finland would be a sh*t pot 4 team to get

It doesn't really matter if we fall into Pot 3. There is not much between Pot 2 or Pot 3 teams at all. Any of them could turn the other over on any given day.

I think the Swiss are a step above every pot 3 team
and so are Poland.

My numbers are a bit off for some of the teams in Pot 1-2 (Russia and Sweden are about 10 off somehow) but the positioning is more or less the same, we are 20th right now, so pot 2.

More importantly though, right under us are Slovakia, NI and Iceland, and all three of them are in Euro Playoff finals where the points are bigger. The only way for us to stay in 20th after those games is for Iceland to lose to Hungary and NI to beat Slovakia on pens.

About the point of the difference between 2 and 3 not being much. Right now Switzerland, Poland, Netherlands and possibly also Germany and Denmark are all hovering on the Pot 1-2 boundary. Massive difference between them and the likes of Greece

I'd rather be in pot 3.

It's amazing that, after three draws and two losses, we're still having this conversation.
Finland are pushing to get into Pot 3 on the bases of the fact they keep beating us.
What do we have to do to join them!
