Anyone up for a YBIG bus?

Jesus not everybody in Ireland loves Glasgow Celtic. One thing I'd love to see at an Ireland game is no Glasgow Celtic jersies, we are actually the only country with fans at a game wearing a foreign teams jersies to a game. Its embarassing.

Will I put you down for a half and half scarf?

i'd say its because the fai don't want to risk a half empty stadium and a defeat leading to a bad atmosphere and abuse of MON.... there definitely keeping away from fans....

Literally no thought process behind this game at all!

The game is being played the day after the Scottish Cup Final which may or may not have Celtic involved in.

If it does and brown plays will he be in any fit state for his own game?

If Celtic aren't involved then Rangers will be, who will ahve thousands of fans in Glasgow all weekend and many travelling over from Belfast/UK etc.

Good f**king luck!

Celtic played a legends match last year the day after they won the cup. Think Brown May have played. Won’t be changed if Celtic don’t make it.

They did indeed, my point was more based around the fact this game is solely based around him.

Celtic game could be a good opportunity to give John O'Shea (or anyone else) a farewell

The FAI's website has the kick-off time for Ireland v USA listed as 8.08pm, in multiple places on their website.

Is this an error or is there something significant about the time being specifically fixed? (it has to be the former, right?)

It's fixed for that time to suit US TV

Looked on the US website and it has it down for 3pm eastern time which would match the FAI website when you factor in the time difference .

It is a common enough time for American sports.  It suits tv schedules to kickoff a few minutes after the hour.  In baseball the Red Sox meet the Blue Jays at 7.07pm tonight (local time).  This allows more time for adverts.
