Just a heads up for anyone interested. The official Fifa film of the 1970 World cup on tonight at midnight on the History channel (sky 130). A bit late but worth recording.

Just looking at their schedule on the EPG and it actually like they're showing a load of football documentaries e.g. there's a programme at the moment showing the top 20 world cup moments.

Looks like it's going to be wall-to-wall football programming on it for the next week at least and won't be surprised if it's all the way through to the start of the world cup. Clap

Keep an eye out for One Night in Turin...longish documentary about how the semi final defeat was seen as a catalyst for changing the perception of football in england. I think it goes into the history of football fan culture in england in the decade before 1990. I haven't seen it yet but believe it's well worth a watch. For some of you younger lads it might give you an insight to the way football and football fans were perceived during the wicked witch's era...

Looks to be a good documentary on at 21:00

Pele, Argentina and the Dictators

Political overtones in international football, particularly in South America, where Pele made his name as one of the greatest players of all time.

Recorded a load of stuff from the History channel but went to watch them earlier and I don't seem to be subscribed to the channel. I don't have the movies package, is this the reason?
