He won the same amount of premier leagues as Mancini, Pellegrini, Ranieri, Daglish, Conte & Ancelloti did with a lot more time and money. He’s been good for pool from where they came from but the outpouring of grief as if he’s passed away or something is incredible.

If you’ve not been to the city or understand the people of the city then you won’t really get it.

And just to add 2 things - the comparisons to the other managers on the list isn’t valid. Most of them were at clubs who had close to unlimited spending.
And on the brief point, on some ways that comparison is a valid one. Outside of my point about Klopp and the city, people are lamenting the fact that it’s possible the days could be gone for a while if traveling up and down the country and having some great days with a team and a manager all bought into the same idea.

Liverpool need someone like Klopp. Someone with passion, someone fiery and animated.  Someone who has won it all and commands respect. Who is comfortable in the limelight.  A winner.

Good news Liverpool fans.  A candidate exists that fulfills this criteria.  Someone who played his first and last game at Anfield after a 15 years career in red.

Step forward your new manager:  Roy Keane
Pied Piper to: Baldrick, Brendan 88, 9Fingers, Borussia and more...

Other ‘hilarious’ upcoming suggestions for the next Liverpool manager from banter merchants:-

Steve Staunton
Steve Bruce
Stephen Kenny
Steven Gerrard

Chris Sutton insisting that Liverpool should go for Postecoglu

I'd say Alonso will get the job

Ange has a four year contract.  Can’t imagine levy would be easy to negotiate with even if Liverpool wanted him and he wanted to go.

Doubt Liverpool would be enough for him to even turn his head from spurs. Would be a crazy move.

Klopp, like Ferguson, is a tough act to follow. I've heard Emery mentioned as a possible replacement but that wouldn't work out as Emery doesn't have anything close to the personality that Klopp does. I don't think Alonso does either, but he's meant to be an excellent coach with obvious links to the club.

It's a hard job to turn down but he should wait until enough time has passed and a manager or two have tried and failed to build on Klopp's work. There is a rebuild happening within the squad but players like Salah and van Dijk are approaching the wrong side of 30 and won't be easily replaced either.
