Because it would be against international law to not admit someone claiming asylum.
Even if they were living in the UK in accommodation 6 months prior? A lot of these lads are making a monkery of international law and highlighting how outdated it is. This isn't 1950 anymore.

And I'll say it again there's a reason they're ripping up documents after flying from another European country to here.

What’s a monkery.   Is that a cross between a mockery and a monkey.

Because there's no border controls between Northern Ireland and Scotland.

The stats on applicants per capita is interesting, we're taking less than half what we would/should be based on that

Good thread, but the usual suspects that need to hear it won't.

Is he not basing all this on a 10 year period? It's the last three or four years that would be more pertinent in this debate.
That account has history. Was called out a while back for coercing money from vulnerable folk.

Don't let context get in the way of a good story. I believe we shouldn't be taking more then 10k refugees a year on average which is higher then the sinn Fein policy if they were to get in and they're a pro refugee party. I believe they were calling for about 8k a year as a sustainable number. We've taken in over 10 year's maybe even more worth since the war in Ukraine and now the average is higher than ever despite no public appetite for such huge numbers.

The high court has ruled it unlawful calling the UK a Safe third party country and people from the UK can claim asylum here. The floodgates are well and truly open.

If they don't do something then the country will go right wing. That ruling is insane.

Country is already leaning right like the rest of Europe but the powers that be have gone so far left that the centre almost feels far right these days. We're living in a weird time. If there's another major recession here society will collapse.

It's to do with the implementation into national law of minimum EU requirements. It'll be amended at short notice to close the gap.
