very good article, and thanks for sharing. I have recently entered the coaching realm myself over here FW, and recently took a coaching course to get certified for the state of Florida. The instructor on that course told a very interesting story where he witnessed a  'heated" discussion between a very highly qualified US national team assistant coach (who was the instructor), and a 'participant" on the course on the subject of 'passing".  There were apparently 80 coaches from all over the USA & Canada on this course, and 2 of them in the room knew who the participant was that was questioning this 'guru coach" on the topic of passing.  The participant was none other than Steve Nicol..... - who played on probably the greatest passing team in the history of the fcuking game!!

Great story Billy!  Giles' point is well made as always, esecially in relation to Big Sam.  I couldn't believe so many people wanted him to get the Irish job.

Bung Sam? Never wanted him near the Ireland team.

Giles always make sense and I agree with him. I still have my doubts over Traps selections and concerned he is not giving anyone else a chance but as I have said before I hope he proves me wrong.
