Beckhams football career benefitted from his marriage to a Spice Girl.

Very good player but I suspect his Real Madrid movemay not havevoccurred had he less of a Galactico profile gained in aprt throughhos semi model lifestyle. Real Madrid in those years were FC Hollywood.  Signed anyone big named.

If he was playing today do you think he would make the England team because I don't think he would even make the squad.

Yeah I don't think he would get a look in squad ahead of the likes of Henderson, Gallagher, Bowen etc.

If anything, I think Beckhams status, image, marriage etc actually took away from how good of a footballer he actually was.
