Fairly spot on there from Neville if he could defend he would be one of the best around .

The whole Trent thing is hardly that stupid is it? And Neville certainly wasn't the only one. Plenty of football outlets had him in a World top 5 and a 442 article 4 months ago had him at 6th in the world down from no.2. Around the same time Cafu was saying he was "one of the best right backs in the world"
I think most were attributing this towards his attacking qualities which couldn't really be argued with before a slump in form.

I heard Neville say on Monday Night Football about Trent, "could be one of the best we've ever seen"
Its not spot on. However good he is going forward, he's always been suspect defensively. Well before this awful seaon that he's having. It was laughable stuff

"[Scotland] went out in Mexico because of a spiritual and organisational vacuum that should have alerted Manchester United to Alex Ferguson's shortcomings as a manager at the game's highest level."
