That’s a brutal result for Drogheda. Losing it late on and Dundalk getting a winner late on.
Bohs scoring 3 and keeping a clean sheet. What a time to be alive.

Why do Sligo play Saturday nights instead of Friday?

I assumed it was for better crowds but could be wrong.

Large potions of their support live and work in Dublin and only get home Saturday morning so struggle to make Friday nights , this was the historical reason but maybe a Sligo fan could correct me .

Always played Saturday since we got the lights. Works a lot better for people working and also the amount of people living away who come home go to games.

Sligo Rovers is a regional club who have a lot of supporters from the surrounding counties.
Mayo, Roscommon, Leitrim, Cavan, South Donegal. As well as other supporters who have moved away from the area for work and other commitments, as already mentioned above. We always get better numbers on the Saturday evenings. Plus it is easier for the travelling away fans to get to Sligo and back on a Saturday too.
