Paddy's day was the best day of the year before having kids, well that and St. Stephens day. Full day of drinking in the local boozer often accompanied by decent sport on the telly and then trad band (Mostly FW's band).
It's now just another Sunday type day for me now, trying to figure out something to do to keep kids entertained. While wearing green. Wouldn't go to the city centre again despite living beside the luas line. It's too much carnage with young kid's, people are not careful and just try squash to the front ignoring the kids. Might go to one of smaller parades outside of the city centre where you can get parking. Not sure where though.

It’s funny I prefer it now that I have kids. Much prefer hanging out with my kids than a load of Messy drunks and Guinness farts. They are usually involved in the parade in someway are march for their local GAA or football team. Smaller parades are where it’s at. Like Father Ted and it’s great. Dublin City centre parade is for tourists I think. I would avoid it. Parade tomorrow in DL, Bray and Greystones. Bray is 2pm and DL is 11am.

Bring the little one to the local parade in swords followed by a skinfull in the GAA club afterward. Some decent sports on the box to watch and magicians and clowns etc there to keep the kids busy. 2 birds 1 stone and all that

What I love about the SPD parades is the diversity
And inclusive nature of them. They are pure joy and good vibes.
