I'd say if they threw a pair of workbooks at those clowns they would run away pretty quick.

Imagine going to work with a very young crew and have to face that scum.
They then turn it into a victory cause he 'listened to the people'.

Yeah disgraceful. Unfortunately a few head bangers will always ruin it for everyone - he’s an example of why some people stay away from protests, etc as they don’t want to be associated with that.
"Not surprised you are anti foreigner in your so called Kip of a town when you don’t want a manager because he is Swedish and you want big Sam in charge" - a fine post from a fine ybig poster

Have zero sympathy for him. He can have all the help he needs after he serves a custodial sentence for bullying and intimidation.

Felt sorry for the contractor and some might refer to these shower of coonts as patriots?! Dead

“You can understand the frustration of the people, and the anger, and it’s warranted.” The gurrier in the shorts is a sideshow. The chap in the cap acting as a sort of ‘community mediator’ is far more problematic.

Because without beer gardens you'll have refugees instead of drunk refugees.

https://www.thejournal.ie/tanaiste-says-mcentees-80-claim-on-asylum-seekers-crossing-border-not-statistical-6367555-Apr2024/

Some interesting quotes in here which are much more sceptical of the headline 80% figure from the IRC and CAJ. It’s interesting that Martin has seemed to play it down a bit.

I imagine the truth is somewhere between the headline and the pure scepticism of the two rights groups quoted in the article.

McEntee couldn’t tell her arse from her elbow in that Oireachtas Committee and is now confidently quoting a pretty sensational figure that is causing a diplomatic row. Call me a cynic but seems a bit convenient for her to have the Brits to blame all of a sudden Smile

Spokesperson for Helen McEntee insists it is “the Department’s firm assessment, based on the experience of staff and others working in the field, and based on the material gathered at interviews, is that in most cases those applying for the first time in the IPO have entered over the land border”

Maybe she's referencing my post off YBIG the other week?

Peadar Toibin:
We asked the Minister for Justice last year, how asylum seekers entered the country.
She admitted to me that in 75% of the cases, she did not know.
Because......her dept never asked.
I knew at the time that there were large movements across the border.
She did nothing.

She didn't know or didn't want to say? Considering the government held many relevant truth's from us during the referendum why would we give them the benefit of the doubt?

But that's just the current figures. What will it be in 20 years?
They want to double the size of rural towns by 2040, with half non nationals.

We want Dutch standard services in this country but the Netherlands has a population of 12million in a country the size of
Munster.  We have 5 million in comparison.  It’s basic economy of scale to know that it’s impossible to deliver Dutch like services to a scattered population.  The Ireland is full nonsense doesn’t make sense.  People in Europe are having less kids nowadays as they are spending longer in education and having their kids later.  (Housing crisis doesn’t help) but this was happening anyway.  We need people to make sure we get the services we want and that the taxes and pensions are paid.  A society that becomes insular and turns its back to the world stagnates and goes backwards.  It doesn’t thrive.

Maybe don't base everything in Dublin. You think the kids of all these immigrants aren't going to want to leave for Dublin or abroad?

The Baltics and Poland have clearly shown you can prosper without crazy population growth.
