They're in the French Cup final vs PSG, if they win that they get Europa League if they lose it 6th in the League gets that Europa League spot and 7th gets the Conference League.

Though 8th placed Marseille have a game in hand and are 3pts behind Lyon with a much better goal difference. They too would need to drop points.

Wasn't he in the squad though?

He'll probably make his debut next month or in the NL games.

There's hardly an anti-O'Brien bias on O'Shea's part is there?
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

O'Shea didn't play O'Brien in the recent friendlies.

O'Brien is the new flavour of the month who will get better and better until he finally plays, then the realisation sets in and he's not as good as anticipated and they will move on to the next player and continue this process.

Jake and Caleta Car getting a bit of heat from Lyon fans on Twitter lately. To my eyes they play a ridiculous high line where CBs get naturally exposed. The below a case in point.

Crystal Palace owner also owns Molenbeek, the club where O'Brien was loaned to, and Lyon, where he was sold to.  So worked out for O'Brien going into the English system where his progress was well managed.
Multi club ownership isn't the 'English System'..
