From the Guardian:
It may have been his first Premier League start, but Chiedozie Ogbene showed enough in Luton’s draw with Wolves to suggest he’ll be making plenty more this season. Having arrived from Rotherham in the summer, the Republic of Ireland winger had already impressed Luton fans with several lively performances off the bench, but this was a display of sustained flair. Even before they were reduced to 10 men, Wolves struggled to contain his momentum down the left and he combined time and again with Alfie Doughty to create a string of chances. Having drawn some of the loudest cheers of the afternoon, only being denied an assist by an excellent save from José Sá to keep out Carlton Morris, Ogbene’s standout showing did not go unnoticed in the dugout. “People love wide players dribbling and getting at people, or I certainly do anyway,” said his manager, Rob Edwards. “The supporters really bounced off him and I think he felt that. Now he needs to do it again.”
"The third path to wisdom is experience, and is the most bitter."

From the Athletic:

The threat was varied too. At times they played it long to Morris, but they also built up cleverly through midfield, particularly when combining through Alfie Doughty and Chiedozie Ogbene on the left. Ogbene, a free transfer from Rotherham United of the Championship this summer, excelled on his first start at this level, registering nine shot-creating actions — defined as the two attacking actions directly leading to a shot, such as passes, dribbles and drawing fouls.

Excellent. Was always going to be a struggle at Luton this season as they have the weakest squad on paper and will likely go down. The hope for me is he does enough to ensure that even if that happens, there is another PL club willing to keep him in the league

The key was him actually getting a start and fairplay to Ogbene he was very good the weekend. Hopefully he starts for the season now. Think he would be tailor made for Brentford as a rotational option actually considering how versatile he is and how Brentford revert to a back 5 against higher class teams etc.

Brentford would need to be careful that they are not drawn in to a relegation battle tbh. Toney out, Rico Henry now out for the season, Raya gone (new keeper looks iffy). They were poor at home to a very average Everton side at the weekend. Might only be a blip but another injury or two to a couple of their key players and they could be drawn in.

Did he play off the left as an inverted winger? Havent seen or heard of him doing such before. Would be potentially an interesting tactical development for Ireland.

Started on the left, moved to the right later in the game.

Getting lots of love online from Luton fans for his performance today. Great to see

I watched the 2nd half (for my sins) he was excellent.

Helped defend a lot and whenever he got a slight chance to bring the ball forward he did and used it very smartly.
It would damage this forums' reputation

Watching the Luton v Spurs game here and Chieo is really at home. The players are keen to get it out to him, the fans are keen to see him on it and he is loving running at Porro. He is having some joy and maybe the final ball is not always great but the options are hardly blatant. He must be having a great time.

It could be 4 or 5 nil to spurs. They have missed sitters.  Other than that Ogbene is having a great time 😀

Ogbene has been excellent! Some lads would rather see Sammie Szmodics in the Ireland team.

Spurs could have been 3 up after 20 minutes. Luton have come into the game and Ogbene has been a big part of it. Similar to his performances for us against bigger nations.

Should have an assist. Played a lovely ball across for Adebayo who couldn't finish. Good man Chieo.

Just put one on a plate for Adebayo which was badly fluffed. He'll be staying in the EPL whether Luton are or not, he's the ideal player for a newly promoted side that won't have much possession.

Knocked it past Hojbjerg there who had to foul him and take a yellow card. Crowd chanting his name.

Had a very good game. His crossing is a huge weapon for them and is better than I realized. Caused Spurs problems.
