FAI scout in England / London. Rice previously said he was like a father figure to him.

no, no. You're wrong there. Journalists don't make up stories to sell papers.

Was very poor for Huddersfields goal today, and wasn't very good in general. Still has a bit to go before you could consider him a shoo-in for England.
We're decent enough..

Ireland was any port in a storm for him.  Now the better looking sister is showing an interest and he's off.

no,  only Ireland showed an interest, if your eligible for two but only one approaches you then you don't really have a choice to make

This is to play for your country. Simple as that. It should be a very very easy decision if there is a choice. This 'toughest decision' business is horsesh1te, as I said this isint a choice between 2 clubs. If he wants to play for England then fine, but don't be wasting peoples time playing to the galleries while sitting on the fence like its a difficult decision.

Simple as that if you only have one country

Ah come on Shoco. Thats a bit naive. He isint faced with a choice so much as he is faced with a dillema. It is simple, he wants to play for England, we wouldnt be having this conversation if he didn't. But the commitment he made to Ireland is standing in the way of that. He may stay with Ireland but will it be what his heart wants.

I don't think it's naive, I think it's been realistic for someone in his position. When he was with the Ireland set up he didn't have a choice, but now he is being offered an option

Eh ? how do you work that one out Shoco , he was born in England , did he not think he was eligible for England ?

At least Grealish didn't take 3 senior caps! The lad is a lot more honourable than Rice ever will be
It’s a fair point Trigboy but I don’t believe it was part of some devious strategy on Rice’s behalf...anyhoo all will be revealed in time though of course it is taking too long...and there is that air of inevitability about it..
